Item Description

The MPA provided $375 toward this grant request and then provided an additional $2000 to guidance increase funds available for scholarship requests that for this conference or similar opportunities.  Additional donations are still being accepted.

Grant request is to assist two students to attend the 2012 Lead America Medicine & Healthcare Conference at Columbia University during the summer.  The students would make a presentation to other students after their return sharing information learned at the conference.  Total cost for two students to attend is $5,790.

Total grant request:  $2,000

Purchasing this item partially funds a request the MPA received from faculty, staff or a student club. All amounts for “Fund-A-Need” purchases are tax deductible donations to the Minuteman Parent Association, 501(c)3 organization and my be eligible for a company matching contribution.
