Item Description

Ever wonder why some outfits make you feel like a supermodel while others leave you feeling more like a hobbit? Ever purchase something that looked great in the store, only to be disappointed when you wore it for the first time? This class will give you the tools you need to look great for any occasion.

Author, instructor, and CMS parent, Amy Herzog, teaches her popular "Fit to Flatter" knitting classes around the nation. She is offering to run a version of the class for the winner and up to 5 of their friends, covering the following topics:

  • Standard body shapes, figure characteristics, and why your shape matters much more than your size
  • How clothing changes the body's appearance and how to use that to your benefit
  • Types of clothing that look best on each figure type, exemplified with lots of try-ons
  • Personalized shape analysis and measurements for every student
  • Choosing proper size, demystifying pattern instructions, and modifying patterns*

*Not a knitter? No problem! The principles discussed in the class apply equally well to choosing ready-to-wear clothing. Amy will work with the winner to gear the class toward your specific needs, potentially including a guided shopping trip.

This class is sure to change the way you shop, look at clothing, and dress. One recent student wrote:

So, I just wanted to let you know that I went shopping yesterday, and it was a huge success, mainly because I applied Fit to Flatter guidelines to what I picked out to try on... literally 80% of what I tried on looked amazing. I've never had that sort of success rate before. Not even close. It was awesome. Amy Herzog: changing lives, one garment at a time.
