Item Description
"Repousse" is French for “to beat out.” Thin sheets of copper are laid over molds of metal or wood and beaten into the form of the mold by hammering or other forms of focussed pressure. All molds are metal, made from original designs.
Copper Repousse is an ancient art practiced in Babylonia, Persia, Mesopotamia, and the ancient civilizations of Mexico and Peru.
