Item Description

Enjoy a delightful variety of Martian Wines --

2008 Grenache Blanc -- This wine is redolent of peaches and green apples with a hint of orange blossom, followed by more of the same on the palate, with some dried apricot on the long, lingering finish.

2008 Syrah -- Rich, rustic, and meaty over a palate bed of spicy dark red fruit. Herb (no, not that kind of herb) and hints of white pepper and black olives on the nose.

2009 Grenache Blanc -- This wine drinks kind of like a grown-up caramel apple - a layer of rich, buttery sweetness, followed closely by a burst of fresh, crisp green-apple flavor. A little bit of added Viognier, plus some time in oak accounts for the caramel notes, but the lip-smacking acidity of the Grenache Blanc comes through for a clean finish. Notes of almonds and dried-apricots keep things bright and interesting the whole way through.

2009 Grenache Rose -- This is a rosé that almost thinks it’s a red wine. It’s got some body, but let’s say it’s a dancer’s body. On the palate it’s lithe, graceful, and definitely assertive, not wimpy. Flavors and aromas are of cranberries.

2009 Grenache -- Grenache is the most polymorphic of grapes, able to be turned into whatever it needs to be. It’s the loadbearing grape in Châteauneuf-du-Pâpe and it goes solo in some of the most thrilling monovarietal wines in Australia and Spain.

2009 Viognier -- Orange flower petal and tropical fruit aromas atop peaches, and then a light spiciness on the palate leading the way to a smooth, lovely finish and a thoroughly enjoyable wine.
