Item Description
For one lucky child, 1 week of Pied Piper Summer Day Camp 2012 at Hartley House in Hell's Kitchen.
The Pied Piper Summer Day Camp provides recreational, social, and educational enrichment for children ages 5 to 12. Weekly thematic programming is incorporated into off-site trips, competitions and activities. In-house activities include ceramics, computer workshops, storytelling, games, movies, sports, arts and crafts, competitions and literacy-enhancement projects. Full-day and half-day field trips include destinations such as the Bronx Zoo, American Museum of Natural History, Harlem Lanes, NY Aquarium and Bear Mountain Park.
The camp’s innovative and varied program also helps to combat summer learning loss, which has been identified by researchers as an important educational issue. Hartley House’s Pied Piper Summer Day Camp is licensed by the City of New York’s Department of Health and Mental Hygiene.
