Item Description

It's a true colonial getaway in historic Sturbridge, Mass.

Travel through time at Old Sturbridge Village! At Old Sturbridge Village you will come face-to-face with the past and the events that shaped life from the late 1700s to early 1800s. The Village will catapult you into a country town, where everyday life was a series of struggles and triumphs. Be a part of history as you journey into rural New England and come away with a profound sense of the past.

Enjoy dinner at the area's most charming inn, The Publick House. The Publick House was established on the Sturbridge Common in 1771 by Colonel Ebenezer Crafts, who led the local militia against the British at the Battle of Lexington and Concord when the Revolutionary War began.  A continuing program of preservation and renovation now means that the Publick House preserves its original 18th century charm while offering 21st century conveniences.
