Item Description
This image is from a series of photographs, taken with a Minolta SRT-201 camera when Stephen Jareckie surveyed Mount Wachusett in 1999. This mountain is a monadnock, a geological classification taking it's name from Mount Monadnock.
This photograph is displayed in the Fitchburg Art Museum exhibition, Monadnock, on a view from September 26, 1999 to January 9, 2009. I served on a team of four curators, who created an exhibition that traced the visual history of a mountain that dominates our countryside.
