Designed by the talented firm, Mell Lawrence Architects, and the construction overseen by contractors from Texas Construction, this avian inspired playhouse is a stunning and functional piece of art. Here what the architects have to say about their inspiration:

"While designing our playhouse we aimed to achieve an exuberant simplicity- a simplicity of form that would be both easily indentifiable and excitable to a child, as well as a simplicity of construction that would be achievable for student builders learning their trade.  After exploring different forms we settled on the abstract shape of a bird, a familiar silhouette perched in a yard. It was important to us to design a place where kids felt they could escape but also give them an opportunity to look out at the activity around them.  We left part of the structure open for easy come and go, and provided small windows at the wing line.  Inside, a bench for sitting widens to a deeper platform at the back of the structure that can serve as a bed or table over a surprise opening in the floor that allows a secret escape or entry.  Translucent roof and tail feather materials fill the structure with ample light during the day and provide the opportunity to turn the playhouse into a glowing lantern at night when illuminated from the inside."

Shipping your Playhouse:

Included in your purchase is curbside shipping within Austin city limits. Anything beyond that is the responsibilty of the owner. A fork lift is required to move the playhouse and if there are any structures that they need to be lifted over a Skytrak is needed. 

For an added fee of $700, we will move the playhouse directly into your yard.
