Item Description
The estates of The Overlook, no longer standing, shaped the National Register Historic District now known as Herrick Mews, a charming assemblage of carriage houses and former servants’ quarters harking back to Cleveland’s Gilded Age. The area is named for Myron T. Herrick, a prominent banker, mayor of Cleveland, governor of Ohio, and ambassador to France during World War I. The Barries have lovingly and extensively updated their home, transforming it into colorful and comfortable spaces in which to live and carry out the work of Barrie Projects, a museum and cultural planning and implementation firm whose credits include the Mob Museum in Las Vegas, the International Spy Museum in Washington, D.C., and “Michael Jackson: The Official Exhibition.” Your gourmet seated dinner will be catered by Special Events and Spectacular Parties, whose Ben Berns (formerly of Parker’s New American Bistro) will finalize your menu with you. A mixed case of red and white wines will be provided (full bar not available). Mixed drinks, if desired, and gratuity will be the responsibility of the winning bidder.
