Item Description

Make a winning bid on an acrylic painting by noted local artist, Avery Boruch. This 36"x48" gallery wrapped canvas will make an exiting addition to any collection.

Avery Elizabeth Boruch began painting watercolors at 18 months old. Avery received an award in her 1st juried show at 4. Her 1st solo exhibition, also at 4, featured 27 acrylics and 9 watercolors. Since that time, Avery has painted hundreds of acrylics, watercolors and pen & inks, and has exhibited her works in over 50 exhibitions, including many juried shows and invitationals. She has also been recognized for her photography.

Avery has a unique ability in color choice and placement, which moves light and dark within her paintings. Mixing colors, sometimes 6 dozen or more, before beginning a painting may take Avery several hours. She pictures mixing the colors in her mind. "My head is full of colors and shapes," said 4 year old Avery to ABC news.

Avery's works have been featured in newsprint and television stories, as well as many art related web sites. Dubbed Rhode Island's Little Picasso, Avery has been referred to as a prodigy. She has never had an art lesson.

In February 2011, at 10 years old, Avery was the youngest artist ever accepted into the Newport Art Museum Annual Members’ Juried Exhibition. Avery Boruch is known to artists and collectors throughout the world.
