18" High by 10" at widest point. Soft variegated veining in the stone. Intriguing from all angles.

ABOUT THE ARTIST:

Thirty years ago, Carole began scuplting in clay, then working in soapstone and alabaster.  At first she worked with simple hand tools, allowing each piece to "present its own distinct character." In 1986, Carole began carving large pieces of stone at Anthony Amato's workshop in Vista, California. During these years, Carole's work as a stone carver has become recognized for its unique fluidity and purity of line. Carole's involvement in dance helped make her aware that "life and art work best as an integrated whole."

Most of Carole's pieces have been sold to private collectors. Others have been displayed at the California Community Foundation in Los Angeles, and at local galleries and exhibitions, including the Pasadena Showcase House, Whittier City Hall, Garland Theater and Fine Arts Center, and several private showings.
