One Strange Bird is a unique boutique featuring handmade gifts, apparel, and art in Chicago’s Humboldt Park neighborhood. The space also features art workshops in many techniques taught by local artistic talent. It is our hope that One Strange Bird will blur boundaries between Fine Art and Craft, art and life, and process and product by having all reside in a singular space. One Strange Bird offers drop in art classes for children in painting, origami, clay, drawing, and more. (1 class for child and friend)
Color Wheel Studio is not your average art place. It is a real working artist’s studio,where children learn how color shapes their world. By nourishing their curiosity, we will engage your son or daughter in a sensory wonderland of critical thinking through color, line, texture and the written word. The studio offers a wide array of classes and workshops for children ages 2 to 12 throughout the week along with periods of open studio time. (10 punch card to open studio time)
At The Paintbrush, kids do more than just paint! For ages 18 months old to 8-years-old, kids at The Paintbrush learn about artists, listen to music and create their own inspired works of art. ($50 off 16-week session)
