Item Description
This painting depicts a battlefield of uniformed soldiers bearing muskets and swords and signed by the artist – C. Hoffbauer. Charles Hoffbauer was a gifted artist celebrated throughout America and France for his paintings, murals, and drawings. He is best known for his murals “Four Seasons of the Confederacy” which were commissioned by the Confederate Memorial Association in 1914 to paint a series of Civil War murals for the newly constructed Battle Abbey.
Framed, it measures 17 1/2" H x 19 1/2" W.
