D.J. DeJong has been a Denver educator for 23 years. Her main artistic influences are from indigenous American forms, especially Pacific Northwest. An avid photographer, her work has been exhibited at the Photographers Gallery in Cherry Creek. Her mask, Duqwela Wisem, or Seeing Man, is a stylized face based on indigenous patterns.
