Item Description
"Red Door: Savannah, GA" by Koren Volk in oil. It was painted in 2011. It is 16" x 12" (h x w). Framed, the painting measures 19" x 15".
Brooklyn-based artist Koren Volk was raised on the wide-open prairie but has lived most of her life in big cities. This dichotomy is reflected in her paintings that range from lonely grain elevators to Manhattan skylines and highlight the contrast between light and shadow. She also draws inspiration from her frequent travels, as she finds painting much easier than figuring out how that darned digital camera works.
