The Mary Todd lincoln house opein in 1977 and is the first house museum in America to honor a First Lady. Located on West Main Street in downtown Lexingotn the fourteen room house currently contains period furniture, family portraits and items belonged to the Lincolns and the Todds.
Born in Lexington in December1818, Mary Todd Lincoln spent many of her formative years in this house. It was the Todd family residence from 1832 until her father's death in 1849
