The Sarasota Music Festival brings the best up-and-coming young musicians from around the world to Sarasota for three weeks each June. This, coupled with the world-renowned faculty artists who travel here to mentor and perform, makes it a magical experience of exceptional concerts. The 2012 Sarasota Music Festival takes place June 4-23.
2012-2013 will feature unprecedented variety and excellence as the Sarasota Orchestra performs a season of innovative formats and traditional concerts, exceptional music by the great masters, all-time favorites and dynamic guest conductors and artists.
For more than 60 years, the Sarasota Orchestra has been entertaining music lovers from around the region and visitors from around the world. With Artistic Director Leif Bjaland and President and CEO Joseph McKenna at the helm, the 80-member Orchestra performs more than 100 classical, pops and family concerts each year, and thrives as the oldest continuing orchestra in the state of Florida.
