Item Description
Bass Dan Malis has been on hiatus from the Cambridge Community Chorus this year, and he's currently keeping busy as President of the Masterworks Chorale. Dan has kindly offered the CCC auction a subscription to the popular Masterworks Summer Sings!
Details will be announced soon, and our own Music Director, Jamie Kirsch, is rumored to be conducting one of the sings this year--Carmina Burana. You won't want to miss the chance to join many other singers from across the area for this and a hit parade of other choral masterpieces between June and August. Last year's series featured 8 sings at Noble & Greenough School's air conditioned auditorium in Dedham.
“Sings” include accomplished soloists and expert piano accompaniment. This is a great way to prepare for the coming concert season, put finishing touches on music you're studying or just keep in vocal fitness over the summer. Bring your own score or borrow one at the door. Free parking is available.
Founded in 1940, Masterworks Chorale is one of the leading choruses in the Boston area and an active part of the region's musical community. Led by conductor Steven Karidoyanes, Masterworks draws its committed singers, professional orchestra and talented soloists from throughout New England.
The Chorale performs a three-concert series at Sanders Theatre, Cambridge, offers popular community Sings at the holidays and in the summer, and provides intergenerational outreach opportunities.
