Item Description
This handcrafted cutting board made from wood donated by Kevin Cradock Woodworking measures 17.5 inches by 12 inches by 1 inch.
The cutting board was designed and created by participants in Pine Street's Building Maintenance Training Program (BMTP). This 8-week program teaches skills such as jobsite safety, carpentry, general repair, interior and exterior painting, customer service, and teamwork as a way to help homeless individuals move towards viable employment and self-sufficiency.
As another way to teach self-sufficiency, students from the BMTP develop skills working with customers through Pine Street's social enterprise Boston HandyWorks with the focus of helping to support the costs of the training programs.
