If you've always wanted to try backyard poultry farming, here's your opportunity to get the chickens AND a consultation with "The Hen's Midwife." She'll deliver your new feathered friends within 75 miles of Rutland, MA and "eggucate" about how to care for them.
Highest bidder will win three hand-raised chickens (for eggs only, not meat). The pullets (young chickens) will arrive at your coop (you DO have a coop, right??) at an ideal time...in warm weather and at the age when they are just about ready to start laying! Omelet anyone??

Flock #1: Includes 2 lovely young Rhode Island White ladies and one handsome rooster. All hand-raised. Includes one-hour consultation on raising chickens for eggs. Approx. 24 weeks old at auction end date.
Flock #2: Includes 2 lovely little Americuana-Langshan ladies who produce green and blue-shelled eggs and 1 sweet rooster. All hand-raised. Includes one-hour consultation on raising chickens for eggs. Approx. 16 weeks old at auction end-date.
Note: Winning bidder must commit to raise these chickens for egg laying only, not meat or any other purpose, and must have a safe, appropriate coop for the chickens on his or her property.
