Item Description

What a great gift for someone just getting started, to the serious cyclist in your life!

Who is World of Bikes?  Great question!  Started in 1974, World of Bikes is Iowa Cities longest standing bicycle shop.  We are locally owned and operated.

WOB was built on terrific service, great products and incredible people, all of which continue today.  We pride ourselves on being a place where ANYONE feels comfortable coming in to.  We strive to be a no hassle, honest, friendly, no pressure group of cyclists that gets you on the road or trail with the right equipment or the right fix the first time.

We are a very diverse group of cyclists.  We have anyone from the ultra-competitive road racer to the don't-own-a-car commuter.  There will always be someone to talk to for your bike needs.

We want people to enjoy their riding experience, that's why we are very through with our bike assemblies, bike repairs, products and services.  Did you know that every new bicycle that gets assembled at WOB gets checked by no less than 3 other people before it goes home with you?  Our repairs get test ridden and checked by the mechanics peers. We except nothing less than perfection and neither should you!

The product lines we choose are a hard thought out process.  We look at companies that give a good value and great quality.  We regularly test our products to make sure we aren't selling below grade items.  If we do find consistent problems, we pull the product and return it to the manufactuer.  We want trouble free products for you to enjoy.

We also work with manufatures and organizations that support cycling.  Our 3 biggest vendors; Trek, Giant and Quaility Bicycle Products, all give huges amounts of time and money back to the cycling community.  These companies strongly feel that better cycling facilities and education is better for EVERYONE on a bike.
