Experience a week of fly fishing at the internationally recognized Estancia Laguna Verde Lodge, at Jurassic Lake, in southern Patagonia, Argentina, known as probably the best wild rainbow trout fishery in the world. Monster rainbow trout are caught in Lake Strobel located on a 37,000 acre ranch approximately 185 miles north of El Calafate, Argentina. The Estancia boarders the southern shores of Lake Strobel (Jurassic Lake)and encompasses more than 5 miles of the Barrancoso River (also known as Jurassic River), as well as a series of smaller lakes teaming with trout, exclusively accessed by Estancia Laguna Verde.

Because of the Estancia's vast resources, anglers now have the opportunity to not only fish the flats and ledges in Strobel for cruising bruisers with average fish going from 6 to 10 (+) pounds, and the possibility of catching 15 - 20 (+) pound fish, but also to engage in New Zealand-like sight fishing in the river for individual targets ranging from 5 to 10(+) pounds or to fish the fifteen smaller remote lakes on the ranch property.

7-night/6-day fishing package for one angler, November 1, 2012 to April 30 2013 or the 2013-2014 season. Up to 3 companions may join the winning bidder for $4,200 each which is 20% discount over the lodge rates.

Item Special Note

The 7-night/6-day fishing package is on a Saturday to Saturday schedule. Please note that the lodge requests anglers be in Calefate, Argentina the Friday night prior to the fishing stay at the Estancia. Las Dunas Hotel is recommended for your stay in El Calafate. This is not included in the package rate. Also Glacier National Park is only about an hour's drive from Calafate and makes for a great side trip, among many other local attractions.

Package includes: fishing days with half day on arrival and departure dates; 1 guide for 2 anglers; estancia accommodations; 3 meals each day of great Argentine cuisine; local wines, beer, and soft drinks; ground transport from Calafate to Estancia and back; and wireless internet access with computer use.

Not included: international flights, domestic flights, any required hotel stays, fishing license, items of a personal nature, special wines, gratuities to staff and guides, use of satellite phone.
