Read the artist bio below:
Jean Patiky is an exhibiting artist who presently resides in Providence, RI. Her watercolors reflect her fascination with light and how it changes seasonally and geographically. Her body of work reflects her many years of travel in the United States, Iceland, and Europe. The tropical light and intense saturated colors of Miami, influenced her work for over thirty years. Now, returning to New England, the seasonal light changes inspire her. She has recently participated in several group and solo exhibits in Providence, Little Compton, and Pawtucket, RI. Jean has been accepted as an exhibiting artist member of the historical, Providence Art Club, established in 1880. She is the founder of Patiky Hand-Signed Art Cards, a business she launched in 2000.
Her work can be found in numerous private collections. In addition, her art cards are used as corporate gifts and were sold at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston gift shop for "Art in Bloom" as well as in galleries and fine stationery shops. They have been selected by Jack Lenor Larsen for the LongHouse Reserve’s INSTORE@Longhouse museum gift shop and the Pollock-Krasner House and Study Center, both in East Hampton, NY.
