Imagine sitting in your dining room and seeing the sea turtles and tropical fish swim and surf the waves beneath your feet!  Ideal for a family reunion or community retreat, or even just a vacation with a few good friends.

You and up to 8 of your closest friends or family must visit this unique oceanfront home perched on the cliffs in the Napili section of the Hawaiian Island of Maui! The Jade House is located on a peninsula within a gated community, and has spectacular views of Molokai from its dining room and crows nest. Enjoy three bedrooms--the master bedroom with a king-sized bed/bath, two more bedrooms with queen-sized beds/one full bathroom, and one shared bathroom, along with a loft area with three single beds.   (Note: This house is not suitable for young children since it sits on a cliff-edge.)

Sleeps 9 (or more with sleeping bags and floor space).  One week occupancy, date by mutual consideration. Good through 2013. 

Availability: Already booked (unavailable) over Christmas 2012, Jan 27-Feb 11, 2013 and Feb 17-23, 2013. Some availability Jun - Sept, 2012; good availability Oct-mid Dec 2012.

Winner also responsible for a $425 weekly cleaning fee and $250 refundable security deposit. 

All newly painted with new furniture and decorated in Balinese and Old Hawaiian style. Even non-swimmers can breakfast with the turtles by looking down through our glass table at the underwater rocks where they nibble the algae growing there.

Later you can enter the water from a little beach in a cove visible from the house, 250 yards away. The nearby sandy beach is one third of a mile away. Great restaurants are also in walking distance--for instance a gazebo that sells the best Macadamia nut pancakes and omelets, and a local fish store that sells fresh-caught island fish, the best you'll ever taste.

Our peaceful home The Jade House is the perfect refuge from the stress of your daily life and a place to relax fully and completely. All you will hear is the sound of the waves. You'll bask in the sun and connect as never before with your beloveds and family since this is the definiton of "getting away from it all." Pure joy, peace, love, harmony, and relaxation. A home with all the mod cons, even an elliptical, with a gorgeous view of the crashing waves just outside.

Located in a beautiful part of Maui, itself one of the most beautiful of the Hawaiian Islands; it is our family home which we rent out when we are not living there. We love the fact that it is perched on the windward side of a bay which is the home and breeding ground of the large sea turtles, an endangered species; therefore almost any time of day, you can sit in the living room and look out at as many as ten sea turtles swimming there, while a few snorklers paddle around, usually looking for the turtles (who are just behind them)!

A wide variety of colorful tropical fish congregate around anyone who goes snorkeling or scuba diving in the bay just outside, a bay which you may occasionally have all to yourself, depending on when you choose to come. The location is a favorite with celebrities visiting Maui, but you may just prefer to be here alone with your family and loved ones.

The sunsets are spectacular at the Jade House--red, orange, purple--always dramatic. Visit Haleakala Crater, Hana, and Paia and see the dazzling double and triple rainbows. What you won't see is mosquitos, thank Allah!

Amenities: 3,500 sq.ft. 3 TVs (one in living room is 42" flat screen with HD cable channels), Stereo, CD, DVD, Outdoor oceanview Jacuzzi, New Gas BBQ, Formal dinning for 8-10, Fax machine. The house features a workout area with an elliptical (fan/iPod connectivity) with fabulous views while working out. There is also unlimited local and long distance calling (U.S. only) and broadband internet with WiFi coverage throughout the entire house. Parking for 2 cars maximum, one in garage, one in driveway. 

House normally rents for $500-$750/day and up to $1200/day at the Holiday season.
