Item Description
Whether you've had your own horse or just wanted to and never had the chance, you'll have a great time riding happy, healthy horses at First Farm Inn Kentucky.
During this two-hour horsemanship experience, you'll groom your new equine friend as you learn how he thinks and his herd position. An experienced professional instructor helps you saddle-up and mount before walking to the First Farm Inn riding arena where you work on becoming the horse's leader and communicating when you want stops, starts and turns. Then we head for the hills, trotting along the ponds and through the woods. The experience ends with removing tack, feeding treats and bathing or grooming.
Experienced riders will work at a more advanced level. Both English and Western tack is available. Helmets are provided. Riding is physically strenuous and requires good posture, balance, concentration, thoughtfulness and the ability to listen and learn. Up to three friends may join you for $65 each.
Item Special Note
Since even the quietest horses can be unpredictable, by coming to the farm you accept responsibility and all liability for your experience on the ground or riding. Riders must be over the age of 8, under 225 pounds, and willing to follow directions. Call to schedule. No cash value. Expires December 20, 2012.
