When Beezie Madden's donation arrived for the Lucky Horse Equine Rescue's Online Fundraiser Auction, you might have thought Justin Beiber had just walked in. Young riders screamed, cameras flashed, seasoned instructors put lessons on hold so they could admire it. EVERYONE wanted to touch this "used" GPA helmet for good luck. Justin who???

THIS is the magic of everything that is Beezie.

Gold Medal Winner in show jumping with Team USA in the 2004 and 2008 Olympics, winner of individual Bronze in Beijing in 2008 and favored to ride in her third-straight Olympics in London this summer, Beezie somehow found time for Lucky Horse and a very special LHER volunteer.

THIS is the story of Sarah and Beezie.

Twelve-year-old Sarah B. had written to Beezie for a school project—"Write to a person you admire," her 6th grade teacher assigned. Sarah did. She invited Beezie to come visit Lucky Horse Equine Rescue. The handwritten response from Beezie? Her schedule was busy right now but she would like to do something to help the horses. Sarah took her up on her offer and shortly thereafter, THE HELMET arrived (inside Beezie's personalized case.)

This is the archetypal Prestige helmet. An alliance of the technology of carbon (ten times more resistant and eleven times lighter than steel) and of the nobility of leather, entirely hand-made to order. This ultra-ventilated helmet guarantees safety, sturdiness and lightness. Originally developed in collaboration with the leading endurance riders, it is adapted for the intensive practice of all the riding sports. Its technology is harnessed for total safety effectiveness. Carbon outer shell with matt finish. GPA signature on the front. 2 very large side air vents in the front, 2 vents in the back creating a draught ensuring the optimal dynamic ventilation of the helmet. The hot air is evacuated naturally through the back. Air vents covered by stainless steel mesh. Front part bears the GPA signature. Visor fitted into the helmet, covered with leather. Designed to detach upon impact reducing risk of injury. Front air inlets also in heat-formed injected composite, inset in the outer shell. 3 wide vents for axial ventilation allow an additional penetration of air and create a linear depression which accelerates the air flow and favours heat transfer. These elliptical vents are also covered with stainless steel mesh. This designer helmet provides total rigidity as well as giving an impression of lightness. Chin strap held on the helmet by 4 rivets. Adjustable nylon straps with double adjustment (adjustment triangle for front/back lengths balanced or uneven), a fast self-locking buckle (dual-lock) and an anatomically designed pad in leather. Fitted to the back band. The nape protector is anatomically designed. Fixed on the harness of the chin strap (not the helmet) to allow the ideal positioning of the helmet and ventilation of the back of the neck. A cushion of thick foam padding covered by leather fabric with the GPA signature. Head liner in aerated foam covered by high-tech antibacterial fabric. Made up of 4 independent parts (front, central, right and left). This washable liner is removable and can be replaced or adapted. Inner shell lining (inner shock-absorbing lining) in high-tech high-density polystyrene. With cut-outs facing the air vents.
