Emmy award winning comedian, Wayne Brady brings the laughs to the Ryan Center on the campus of University of Rhode Island for Family Weekend 2012 on October 13th, at 8:00pm.
One of the most versatile performers in show business today, Wayne has been entertaining audiences with his acting, improv, singing, and dancing on television, film, and the stage for years. He began his career in the improvisational theatres and was a panelist on “Whose Line Is It Anyways” from 1998 to 2006. In 2003, Brady won a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Individual Performance in a Variety, Musical or Comedy Series for his work on the show, the only person to win the award for a television series, as opposed to a special, since Dana Carvey in 1993.
He went on to star in his own ABC variety show in 2001 called “The Wayne Brady Show”, and a daytime talk show of the same name in 2002, which lasted two seasons and won four Daytime Emmy Awards, two of which went to Brady for Outstanding Talk Show Host. He has also hosted “Don’t Forget The Lyrics” and is currently the host of “Lets Make A Deal” on CBS.
