Mosaic artist, Sally May Kinsey, is a Chicago area native who currently resides in Summerville, South Carolina. After relocating outside of Charleston, South Carolina in 2008, Sally began creating and selling her mosaic artwork, as well as importing and selling the world’s smallest ceramic mosaic tiles, from Morocco.
Having dabbled in painting, drawing, ceramic, metal, glass and fiber art, Sally found mosaics to be the art form that would hold her interest as an artist.
“It allows me to use all of my artistic interests together in a single art form. There are no limits in mosaics, and I believe this is why I have found it both intriguing as well as creatively satiating.”
Sally May Kinsey is a member of the Society of American Mosaic Artists (SAMA), Contemporary Mosaic Art (CMA), and the inaugural recipient of the Mosaic Arts International, Innovation in Mosaics award. Sally has also been published in Azalea magazine, as well as the inaugural edition of Mosaico na Rede magazine in Brazil.
