Tesserae: millefiori, stained glass, beads, pebbles, and ball chain
Pat is a self-taught mosaicist, having dabbled in various artistic mediums throughout her life. In 2005 she discovered a passion for glass and made her first mosaic. Her work is influenced by her travels and she gravitates towards clear and textured stained glass, graphic patterns, symbols, and incorporates beads, metals, millefiori and other ephemera to bring her work to life.
Her work has been featured in juried shows in Fredericksburg, Tx, (“Magical Mosaics”, Artisans at Rocky Hill, Sept. 19-Oct. 18, 2008), The Gadsden Museum of Art in Gadsden, Al, (July 5-Aug. 27, 2011, the Customs House Museum in Clarksville, Tn. (May 10-Aug. 5, 2012), and the Dogwood Regional Fine Arts Exhibit in Knoxville, Tn. (Apr. 6-27, 2012).
