Item Description
Bear Description: This bear took his love of honey to a whole new level by diving head first, literally, into a beehive. Therefore, it’s no wonder why Beehive Beardo has found himself covered in oversized buzzing bumblebees. Aside from the straw beehive helmet and plastic crawling insects, Beehive Beardo is painted to resemble a typical brown bear. The bear stands on a forest green base, adorned with a single lady bug who bears witness to the bear's buggy plight.
Artist Bio: Wade Clement has always had a need to create. His first memory was as a 5 year old creating a crude pencil holder out of scrap wood. Since then he has worked in many mediums including ironwork, photography, clay, encaustic beeswax, and found objects. As an undergraduate he studied Art and Design at the University of Maryland, College Park, MD. His graduate studies were in Industrial design at Pratt Institute, Brooklyn, NY. He finds that most of his work has been inspired by life and the wonder of creating.
