Respect Your Mother was born out of the artist’s distress with human denial about pollution, and her appreciation for Earth’s majestic beauty. Inspired and created in Earth’s image, Respect Your Mother depicts a magical landscape scene with the stars in the heavens above, the sun and clouds in between, and the forest, rivers, and animals below. Painted in a very realistic style, you will delight in finding all the little details like the soaring eagle on the bear’s back and the tiny deer on her feet.
Artist Bio:
Jennifer is one of the ten returning Bear Fest Artists from 2009. She is a self-taught painter who resides in Westfield and has a teaching studio at 24 Elm Street. She teaches acrylic painting for ages seven and up, including adults. She exhibits at Leo's in Westfield, in addition to exhibiting at her studio. She has paintings displayed at the Log Cabin restaurant as well as the Delaney House. She paints subject matter of all types and takes commissioned work including portraiture of people or pets.
