Item Description

Bear Description: Armed with baskets of produce, a shovel, and dressed in a pair of blue overalls, this bear is ready to get to work in your garden. This farmer inspired bear is rendered in a very realistic style with cow licked shaggy fur and three dimensional overalls that were created using window screen and epoxy.  The Pioneer Valley is rich with farmland and this bear is dedicated to the farmers and gardeners who harvest all the wonderful fruits and vegetables throughout the year.

Artist Bio: Amalia Fourhawks and her husband Leonard have lived in the Easthampton area for the past thirteen years. Best known for her award winning work in Native American art, you may also recognize her as one of the ten returning artists from the 2009 Bear Fest.
