Item Description

Bear Description:

You won’t need to worry about bundling this bear up when the weather turns chilly because he comes replete with his own wool outfit. Knit with loop stitches with a cozy creamy yarn, the sheep suit is so lovingly hand crafted you’ll wish for a matching one in a bigger size. The cream of the sheep’s clothing is complimented by warm chocolaty matte paint on the bear’s body. The bear sits on a bed of green felt. This bear is meant for cuddling.

Artist Bios:

Tess Poe just opened the Valley’s first pay by the hour sewing studio and stitch lounge in Northampton, MA.  Prior to opening her own business, Poe utilized her background in environmental studies and regional planning by working for numerous state and federally run institutions including the U.S. Department of Transportation as a Community Planner, and the City of Chicopee Office of Community Development Home as a Program Manager.

Julie Flahive is a biostatistician who has lived in Easthampton for more than 10 years.  Originally from Austin, TX, Julie has been knitting, sewing, and crafting for years.  She enjoys quilting in both traditional and modern styles, sewing apparel and accessories, and knitting socks, sweaters, lace, and other items. In addition to her textile and fiber work, Julie is an accomplished cook and baker, recently specializing in gluten-free foods and canning/preserving local produce.
