Bear Description: Rumor has it that archaeologists recently unearthed this incredible sculpture from the ruins of a fifteenth century building that is believed to have housed Michelangelo’s last studio. A large bear emerges from this massive block of what looks to be Carrera marble and resembles Michelangelo’s infamous unfinished but exquisite slave sculpture series. Artist Bio: In 1978, Mark Stein graduated from the Pratt Institute in Brooklyn with a BA in industrial design. Over the years he worked as a model maker for toy companies, TV commercials, amusement park rides, and architecture firms. In 2006, he opened his own model making shop in Easthampton, MA, that specializes in models for exhibit and display.
