Item Description

Bear Description: Bear Crossing is adorned in clothing that is inspired by a crossing guard uniform.  With dark brown fur and thoughtful eyes, the bear is complimented by a hat, a crisp white buttoned up shirt, a black neck-tie, and a pair of smart blue trousers. Bear Crossing’s wrists, and the outer seams and waistband of his pants are lined with small colorful toy cars that look as if they are driving up, down, and around Bear Crossing's body.  This is one bear that would be ok to cross!

Artist Bio: Nancy Potvin is an emergency room nurse, a wife and mother of three, and a lifelong artist. Before returning to school in 2006 for a degree in nursing, Potvin received a BFA from the School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston. After graduation, she operated a small painting business that allowed her to utilize her expert painting skills as well as offer color consultation services to clients.  Today, Potvin finds inspiration for her art from the interesting people she meets as a nurse, from the world around her, and from her children.
