Item Description

A Trip for Two to Rome and Florence, Italy for Seven Days & Six Nights at the Boscolo Palace Roma, A Marriott Autograph Collection Hotel and the Four Seasons Hotel Firenze with Economy Class Air, Including a $750 Four Seasons Gift Card for Cooking Lessons At School with the Chef

Escape to Italy, where you are invited to enjoy la dolce vita in Rome, and the Renaissance during your stay in Florence. Studded with villas of the patrician families of the Imperial period, the Boscolo Palace Roma in the Via Veneto offers a vibrant atmosphere in which you can relive the fascination of the Belle ??A???A?poque in the most sophisticated of contemporary luxury. Let your senses be your guide in Florence during your stay at the Four Seasons Firenze, and savor the Florentine cuisine you'll prepare during your cooking class with the Executive Chef.

The Boscolo Palace Roma luxury hotel is situated in Via Veneto, Rome's most elegant and fashionable street and the centerpiece of the Dolce Vita. The hotel, a majestic period building, sits in front of the American Embassy and between the Spanish Steps and the Villa Borghese. The building itself, which was once known as the Ambassadors' Palace, is one of the masterpieces of the eminent architect Marcello Piacentini, who in 1927 gained inspiration from French Art Nouveau.

A short train ride from Rome will take you to Florence, a city embracing its historic past while remaining a cultural leader in food, fashion, and the arts. On the edge of Florence's historic centre, off Via Borgo Pinti, an unassuming entrance hides one of the oldest, largest and most beautiful Florentine gardens in the city, Giardino della Gherardesca. The Four Seasons Firenze's 11 acres of lawns are dotted with ancient towering trees and scattered with seating areas, one of which offers a superb view of Brunelleschi's majestic Duomo, only a 15-minute walk away. But if the grounds are outstanding, the buildings situated there are more handsome still. After seven years of renovation, the 15th-century Palazzo della Gherardesca and the Conventino, a 16th-century convent, are now the home of the Four Seasons Hotel Firenze.

The Executive Chef uses modern interpretations of traditional recipes from diverse Italian regions, and more particularly Tuscany. The Four Seasons has designed a unique gastronomical program for those who want to discover the secrets behind Tuscan and Florentine dishes. You'll learn how to prepare authentic and traditional dishes such as pappa al pomodoro, bruschette, panzanella, ribollita, sughi, il taglio della bistecca alla fiorentina, and prodotti di Cinta Senese. A section of the class will also be devoted to the wines from four wine-producing regions - Chianti, Montepulciano, Montalcino, Bolgheri), and will be lead by the sommelier.
