Item Description
First designed by Tom Bendelow (who would then later design Medinah Course #3 and Olympia Fields numbers 1 and 2), Skokie Country Club is actually referred to as a “Donald Ross Course” due to a redesign in 1914. The course was reworked two more times, most recently in 1999 to restore it back to the style that ran true of Ross’ original vision: grass-faced bunkering, great routing, and strategic value. In 1922 Skokie hosted the U.S. Open that was to be won by an, at the time, unknown golfer, Gene Sarazan.
