This masterpiece of ingenuity looks simple enough but it does a lot of work. It can create furrows for the seeds, hill potatoes or onions and till the soil. The Shakers used this implement and the gardeners at Hancock Shaker Village still use ones like it today. Built circa 1890 it is the genuine article.
