Item Description

SarahJane Cassie creates out of her lavender house in Foxboro, Massachusetts guarded by a smiling golden doodle named Phoebe. It is bathed in light and rainbows and accented by shadows of love left from raising three wonderful children. She works in many media including paint, beads, fabric and sugar. The common thread of inspiration is color. Her projects are often generated from a sixty-year old stash of things-too-good-to-throw-away when sparked by a gene that sees puzzles of potential in just about everything.

She earned a BFA from Syracuse University. She has painted two cows for the Boston Cow Parade of 2006 and many private murals, fashioned made-to-order quilts and clothing, provided hundreds of bouquets of flowers for the locals from her back yard garden, and created over 25,000 panorama sugar eggs for New England Easter baskets. Her latest fascination is beaded jewelry in which she blends natural beads with glass and crystal to create expressive, colorful pieces.

Her jewelry and one-of-a-kind designs will be available at IrisRefinery.etsy.com starting in the fall of 2012.
