Item Description
This is a beautiful Ammonite fossil specimen, both of historical significance, and also simply fascinating to look at. It would be a grand addition to any room in your home or at your office.
Ammonites are "an extinct group of marine invertebrate animals. They are considered excellent index fossils as it is often possible to link the rock layer in which they are found to specific geological time periods. Their fossil shells usually take the form of planispirals, coiled shell in a single horizontal plane with an increasing diameter, although there were some helically-spiraled and non-spiraled forms.
The Ammonite is also accompanied by a $25 gift certificate to any location of the magnificent Fire & Ice Stores in Maryland.
