Item Description
Johs. Sundfør was founded as early as 1862 by H. O. Sundfør and is today one of the oldest freight forwarding companies / ship broker / liner agencies in Norway. The business was in the early days based on export of herring between Norway, the European Continent and the Baltic States. Between 1862 and 1908 Sundfør owned, fully or partial, no less than 18 ships. The most stunning one was the: "Zippora" built in 1878 by John Hauge. This photograph image measures 19.5" x 15.5"
