Item Description
This ornament was produced by Avita, Inc., a division of Corning Glass Works during the latter part of the 1980s. It is a unique process developed by Corning Glass to create intricate designs into their high-tech ceramic/glass materials. They have won awards in Design and Technique from the Society of Glass and Ceramic Decorators. This particular design is one of the most sought after for its modern/art deco cutting edge interpretation of one of Mother Natures most intriguing phenomena. This piece measures 1 3/4" tip to tip. In its original box.
