Item Description

This 9" x 24" custom framed pastel painting captures the tidal marsh on Gray's Beach in Yarmouth Port on Cape Cod. The moody palette is reflective of the light overcast sky.

This painting was one in a series of painting the artist brought to Peru as part of the "Witnessing our World from Massachusetts to Lima", an art ambassador's exchange project.

Karole Nicholson studied graphic & advertising design at RISD. She has received numerous local and regional awards for her pastels.  She has been juried into national exhibits and is a member of the CT Pastel Society and the Pastel Painters Society of Cape Cod. She delights in brief encounters with oil and acrylics, but this serves as a short respite from her pastels that have been her focus since 2003.
