Item Description
For garden lovers - you'll tour this beautiful private garden on the hillside of Ring Mountain in Tiburon, California. You and nine of your friends are invited to see a garden that has been featured in both "Fine Gardening" and "Horticulture" magazines and in Saxon Holt's book, "Grasses: Uncommon Garden Design".
A Plant collector's garden, it borders the Ring Mountain Open Space Preserve and is interspersed between serpentine and sandstone boulders by large drifts of ornamental grasses, enlivened by purple blooms of lavender.
Entering the inner courtyard, you are greeted by a waterfall with large sandstone boulders. A winding stone staircase lures you to the hilltop, where acres of open-space views compete with San Francisco Bay and City vistas. The path meanders past succulents, leucadendron, dasylirion, and Japanese maples to the colorful rose garden. Sculpture and whimsy are found throughout the pathways. This unique garden has been selected for guided tours by The Garden Conservancy, San Francisco Botanical Garden and numerous Garden Clubs.
For your added pleasure, your hosts will furnish wine and cheese on this special occasion.
This is a very special auction item! Former bidders have really enjoyed this garden tour and the hospitality of the Greenbergs!
