Item Description
For the collector of old Baltimore. A copy of a c.1850 lithograph by German lithographer Edward Sachse. The view is looking west from the former city park and promenade called "Fairmont", now the site of a city public school near Butcher's Hill. The prominent building in the center is Church Hospital on Broadway. Fells Point is at the extreme left at the foot of Broadway, and the site of the future Johns Hopkins Hospital is a the extreme right on North Broadway. Mounted print framed with conservation glass, 28" x 38"
