Item Description
Graham Zusi, born August 18, 1986 in Longwood, Florida is an American soccer player who currently plays for Sporting Kansas City in Major League Soccer.
Zusi had a breakout year in 2011 and settled into an advanced, right-sided spot in Sporting Kansas City's three-man midfield where he displays his smooth passing and set-piece ability.
Then, early in 2012, Zusi scored the game-winning goal in the U.S. Men’s National Team’s 1-0 victory at Panama. “It is always an honor to play for your national team, and I am very excited to be called in for World Cup qualifying,” Zusi said in a statement from Sporting KC. “This is a great time for American soccer and I will do whatever I can and work extremely hard to contribute.” Zusi plays a pivotal role for the U.S. Men's National Team in this year's World Cup Qualifying Events.
During his college career, Zusi played in 89 games, recording 28 goals and 20 assists, and helped Maryland win the National Championship in 2005 and 2008, scoring the game-winning goal in the 2008 National Semi-Final and Championship Games.
This original, autographed soccer ball was acquired on September 14, 2012 when the Sporting KC hosted the Houston Dynamos at home. As a rising, national soccer star, this item will only appreciate over time.
