Item Description

Take a luxurious trip around the world with the fruit of the vine.

This deluxe basket features four unique and spectacular bottles of white wine, representing the best vineyards on two continents.

Start with d'Aria Pinot Grigio 2009, from one of the best producers in the Piedmont region of Italy. Super pure with a wonderful Pinot Grigio character from the low-yield grapes, this may be your number one craving when the sun comes out. No wonder it's so in vogue - and it's vegan-friendly.

Also from Italy, enjoy classic Tangent Pinot Gris 2010. Framed by a light lemony acidity and vibrant minerality, this pinot gris was made in the traditional dry style of northern Italy. It is surprisingly full-bodied, with concentrated flavors of peach, ginger and tropical fruit, with a hint of a pine-resin character. A great wine on its own, Tangent Pinot Gris pairs well with a wide range of foods including seafood, pasta with light sauces, and even grilled sausages.

Next, enjoy a bottle of Miudino Albarino, perhaps the best-kept secret of the fishing capital of Spain, Rias Baixas. Fruity, zesty and light, this vino is bone-dry with bright acidity. Its refreshing citrus and tropical fruit aromas are balanced neatly by mineral overtones and a good structure. You can even age them for up to three years. The Spanish say "it goes with everything, or nothing," so experiment a little and try it with Tapas, or fish, or all on its own.

Sail across the Atlantic as you savor Argentina's delicious, flagship white grape - with a splash of crisp Sauvignon! Wonderfully refreshing Alma Andina Torrontes 2010 combines Argentina's flagship white grape, Torrontes, with a splash of the international superstar variety Sauvignon Blanc. It's from Andean Vineyards, which have high tech cellars in Mendoza and San Juan as well as Salta - where the high altitude is spot on for bracing whites.

Your wine bonanza brings in a third continent, as Alma Andina was made by Australian Stephen McEwen. The Aussie vintner has had considerable winemaking experience in France, Spain, Italy, Sicily, Hungary, Israel, Chile and Australia! He finally fell in love with Argentina, married a local girl, and has stayed there ever since. The delightful crispness and floral aromas of Alma Andina make it ideal to sip as an aperitif or with lighter dishes - prawns, salads, or a fennel risotto perhaps.

Even when these four glorious bottles are gone, you and a loved one can continue to enjoy the fruit of the vine with a pair of VIP Wine Tasting Passes to New Hope (PA) Winery. These passes entitle you to complimentary wine tastings at the charming wine and gift shop housed in a rustic 18th century barn, located right between New Hope and Peddler's Village. New Hope Winery's wines offer something for every palate, from light, fruity whites and versatile blush wines to sophisticated reds and our seasonal fruit wines such as white peach or blackberry.
