Item Description

Offset Lithography, 26 1/4" x 20 1/4"

Artist: Gene Matras

Farm Geese - Print #392 of 400.  This print of intense, inquisitive geese is from the 1980s and is sold out.  It illustrates Matras' emphasis on clarity and stark contrast of black and white.  It is an offset lithographic print of a pen and ink drawing.  Size is 26.25" by 20.25".

Gene Matras has pursued an art career for 35 years. He has tried all types of media, but chose pen & ink which he has developed into an interesting technique. He loves the stark contrasts of black and white and its clarity. Living in rural Pittsfield, NH, he is inspired by natural scenes, wildlife, farms and a variety of other rural subjects.  Gene has won awards throughout New England and his drawings hang in collections in the U.S. and many other countries.
