Item Description
Marvin K. Hedge was a Portland Oregon man who won the fly rod distance event at the August 1934 American Casting Association national tournament in St. Louis, MO using a technique that was unknown to the other casters--the double haul. Having taught this technique at the Golden Gate Club in the 30’s, he was considered by some its“inventor”. True? Not true? Angling historians will love this piece of fly fishing ephemera. Originally published by Rain-Beu Fishing Lines, so expect some technical descriptions of long-gone tackle!
