Item Description
This is an edge-painted acrylic on canvas, 12”x24”. It represents a foggy day along the Maine coast. The relationship between the bright and muted colors fascinated me. The landscape format allows me to improvise with the paint, yet provides a concrete point of reference
IRMA CERESE is fascinated with color relationships and manipulating paint on a surface. Her paintings can be seen simultaneously as landscape and abstract paint surface. Educated at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, her award-winning work has been featured most recently in an extensive solo show at Landing Gallery, Rockland, ME.
